CORE V FLEX
Ciqurix FCam video flame detection systems are available in two versions, known as FLEX and CORE. The same ground-breaking multi-spectrum fire detection technology is used across both ranges, but the hardware and control systems differ.

FLEX is a cctv system and is used for supplemental fire detection. Devices are connected using standard ethernet cabling and can potentially make use of existing network infrastructure (where suitable).

CORE is a fire system and is used for primary fire detection. It is designed to be compliant to BS5839-1:2017 (UK fire standard), uses fire-rated cabling, and will operate from its internal battery supply for over 24 hours. Each device is connected directly to a CORE Control Hub or Extension Hub with fire-rated 4-pair STP cable using the Ciqurix QLS protocol.
HARD TO THE CORE.
CORE is a fire system which provides primary fire detection using multi-spectral video analytics onboard each detection device. It is designed for compliance to BS5839-1 (UK fire standard), uses fire-rated cabling, and will continue to operate from its internal battery supply for over 24 hours during power failure.

HARD TO THE CORE.
FLEX is a cctv system and is used for supplemental fire detection. Devices are connected using standard ethernet cabling and can potentially make use of existing network infrastructure (where suitable).

HOW IT WORKS - FLAME DETECTION USING OUR DUAL LENS TECHNOLOGY
DUAL LENS TECHNOLOGY – A combination of video and I.R analytics to identify the physical presence of a flame (really important, we’re not looking for by-products – be it smoke or temp). The FCam is looking for – colour, brightness, shape, flicker, movement – and it’s looking for all of this over time. It then replicates this for further confirmation in the Near I.R spectrum and this is the feature which dramatically reduces false alarms and allows it to be so sensitive. When enough of these things are present (not all of them necessarily, but enough of them) – action is taken and a fire is detected.
