CHALLENGE:
Aspirating detection, the traditional method of detecting fire in extreme temperatures, has several drawbacks. The necessary pipework and the devices themselves are expensive and complex to install and maintain. Pipes are also susceptible to icing up or becoming blocked with dust. Finally, and most importantly, the maximum height at which they can be installed is just 40m.
SOLUTION:
Ciqurix’s FCam System has no such drawbacks at extremes of temperature. Our detectors have a range of over one hundred metres, and we have specialist models for use in extreme cold (eg. cold storage) or extreme heat (eg. desert environments).
