CHALLENGE:
Traditional fire detectors are designed to monitor the by-products of fire. Smoke detectors are triggered by smoke, heat detectors by heat. This renders traditional detection ineffective outdoors or in spaces with high air flow, as smoke and heat will be dissipated before they can reach the detector
SOLUTION:
The FCam System detects the fire itself - the flame - not the by-products. A fire that starts outdoors, or in an area of high airflow, can now be detected, because while smoke or heat might be blown away, the flame remains to be detected by our dual sensor technology.
